K1 Wines is located in the Kuitpo Forest in the Adelaide Hills, and boasts a range of features that couples and guests alike will love and that will stay with you forever. There is a large lawn on which the ceremony can be held, a man-made lake (ideal for golden hour shots) a chateau-style cellar door, vineyards and gum trees that combine to create a range of ideal wedding photo backdrops, regardless of the weather. (Please note that K1 Wines prohibits entering the vine rows during photoshoots).

Reception and dance floor photos

Once the ceremony is over, K1 Wines provides a variety of wonderful opportunities for formal, posed portraits of the newly married couple, their loved ones and friends. However, there are also a multitude of places where we can take more relaxed, fun shots of the bride and groom, by the lake or surrounded by the giant gum trees, with the vines providing the backdrop.

Whenever possible, we time our photos so that the ‘golden hour’ light can work its true magic, and there are plenty of different options when it comes to the look and feel of photos by the lake and in front of the house.

K1 Wines can hold both indoor and outdoor receptions (with al-fresco dining), creating an ideal atmosphere for a wedding day lunch or dinner, and enjoying all the energy of the big moments like the speeches and cutting the cake.

A real highlight, and one of the things that gets everyone excited about a K1 Wines wedding, is the outdoor dance floor. Your first dance of the night will be become a moment that all your family and friends remember for ever, and we’ll make sure that we capture all the magic for you. At Blush & Pose Photography, we have many years’ experience photographing the joy of weddings held throughout South Australia and across the country.

Having shot many K1 Wines wedding days, we know the venue very well and all that it has to offer couples as a setting for beautiful wedding photos throughout the course of the day.

When you’re planning your wedding, we’ll meet with you before the big day to discuss the timeline, the sort of shots you want (e.g., photos of the bride in her dress, getting ready with the girls, the rings being placed on hands, etc.) and share you with our advice in terms of time of day for the ceremony so that things never feel rushed.

We are also happy to coordinate with your vendors, such as the DJ, florist, caterer, etc. (K1 Winery offers a variety of wedding vendors), as well as the celebrant, so that everyone is working together to make your day run as smoothly as possible.

Photoshoots at K1 Wines are required to be booked in advance, and there is $500 booking fee for photoshoots using the vineyard and cellar door areas. We’ll help you navigate that process so there are no surprises.
