TIPS FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS
Choose low season
If you’re really considering that perfect destination wedding then consider the low season. This will save you some extra money and the demand is usually lower.
Hire a good planner
Wedding planners have excellent knowlege, especially when it comes to destination weddings. They can certainly be worth their weight in gold and remove the worry and stress from you. We’ve worked with some excellent planners throughout the United Kingdom.
Take out insurance
Even with the best of plans, things can still often go wrong. For peace of mind and for an event such as this, we recommend taking out insurance. Be sure to read the fine print and ensure you understand the policy in its entirity.
Spread the day out
With months, maybe years of planning, why not spread your day out over a few days. Why not include group activities or a pool party. This is especially memorable when all your close friends and family have travelled from afar.
Consider time of ceremony
Depending on the month of your wedding, be sure to consider the time of your ceremony. While European summers can be hot, think about later ceremonies. For off season or winter weddings, keep in mind the days get darker sooner.
Wedding under local law
Different countries have different laws when legally tying the knot. Always check the law of a specific country, before locking in that destination. Be sure to work with the legal systems of your home country and the country you are getting married in.
